These are the last pieces that I had time to glaze before setting off on Inconceivable the fall of 2023. They are glazed as follows:

  • emerald, rose quartz

  • durango blue, tenmoku gold (giving to Rob)

  • wildflower yellow, spruce green

  • opal, rose quartz (giving to Tom)

  • opal, tenmoku gold

  • floating blue, emerald

  • royal blue, cranberry red

  • tenmoku gold

These were more pieces that I made during fall of 2023. Glazes for pieces from left to right:

  • birch white, spruce green, rose quartz

  • obsidian, rose quartz

  • opal, tenmoku gold

  • (underglaze blue stripes), blue celadon

  • (underglaze yellow and green stripes), spruce green

Toward the end of the summer 2023, I joined the Pottery Mill up in Lowell and also signed up for a pottery class. These were the first 4 pieces that I made there. I used different combinations of dip glazes for these pieces.

From left to right (the glazes are listed in the order they were dipped):

  • durango blue, emerald

  • tenmoku gold, durango blue, opal

  • wildflower yellow, obsidian, opal

  • floating blue, cranberry

Nora, Freddie and Bini have these pieces

In Summer 2023 I took my first legit pottery class at Arlington High as an Adult Continuing Education class. It was 3 hours a day for 1 week. Melody taught us so much! I ended up with these 4 pieces, 3 made on the wheel and one hand built item. The large platter and mug were made towards the end of the week so they were colored with underglazes. The two at the bottom of the picture were made in the first 2 days so they could be bisque fired and then painted with glaze. I believe the glazes were combinations of Amaco glazes oatmeal, seaweed, and maybe blue rutile and tourmaline. Iā€™m keeping the large platter but the other three are up for grabs if anyone wants one of them.
